This past weekend I flew to Sonoma, CA for the wedding of a family friend, and I’m so glad I got the chance to spend some time in wine country with good friends and family! And if you’re wondering, yes I did have the best glass of wine I’ve ever had in my life 🙂 When we weren’t celebrating Amanda and Brodie’s big day, my Mom and I had such a good time exploring the little gem that is downtown Sonoma. Heads up that this will be a photo heavy post because I just couldn’t stop taking pics of the cuteness… CAN YOU BLAME ME?
The first night we found this Italian restaurant downtown that had the most amazing Italian food, called Della Santina’s. From the moment we walked through the entrance the smell was all bread and tomato sauce… always a good sign. The atmosphere was so charming, and I could sit out on their patio every night for dinner.
Not my photo, but my pic couldn’t do the patio justice! (Obtained from: Press Democrat)
Despite the insane heat, I cannot over the beautiful foliage in this part of the country…
Amanda and Brodie had their wedding in the barrel room of Cline Cellars, and my Mom and I offered to help do some prep before the ceremony/reception. All of the details of the wedding were so smart and classy… from the riddling rack with table cards to the ladder of blankets “to have and to hold in case you get cold” everything was so well planned.
My mom and I had a day after the wedding to do some more exploring, and we took full advantage of it. Highlights included the Sonoma Cheese Factory where I picked up some souvenirs and The Girl and The Fig where I had an early birthday dinner celebration.
